Rheaply FAQ
A circular campus uses circular economy principles to reduce waste, emissions, and costs. The aim is to transform consumption patterns on campus and increase access affordability for our students.
Rheaply AxM is an internal reuse and exchange platform for the Barnard community. Students, faculty and staff can rent, donate, and share equipment and supplies across campus. By connecting people and their resources, Rheaply AxM creates a local circular economy that makes Barnard a more resilient and sustainable campus.
A circular campus must maintain a robust ecosystem of exchange for students, faculty, and staff. This will not only help reduce emissions generated by the manufacturing and transportation of new stuff, it will also increase access to affordable course and dorm supplies for students. Rheaply AxM supports consumption habits that prioritize the climate and our community while upholding equity and access.
Sitting in buildings and rooms across our campus are valuable resources that other members of our community would happily use today if only they knew about them! By increasing the visibility of your equipment and supplies, you become a champion for collaboration, sustainability, and affordability. To get started, take a look around your environment for items that won’t be used by you or your department and could be useful to others. You can also list items for “rental” or borrowing.
Nope! Everything listed on Rheaply AxM is free for students, faculty, and staff. Make sure to check here before considering purchasing new or used items.
