In recent months, Barnard professors have earned new awards and funding to support their continued research and academic work at the College. Below are some of the most recent accomplishments:
Belinda Archibong received an award from the Earth Institute at Columbia University for her project “Staying Close When Apart: The Value of ‘Information Communication’ during the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
Jack Hawley received a grant from the Columbia Center & Institute Initiative to enhance remote learning and teaching. Grant funds will support a lecture series.
Columbia’s Institute of Latin American Studies awarded a grant to Nara Milanich to provide support for projects with the Infancias y Migración Working Group.
Alex White received an R00 grant from the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health for his project “Capacity limits in the neural circuitry of visual word recognition.”
