Staff Recognition Breakfast 2019

Barnard staff members who have dedicated as many as 45 years of service to the College were honored on June 12, 2019, at the first annual Staff Recognition Breakfast. The Office of Human Resources teamed up with the Barnard Staff Advisory Council to create the event, which honors the contributions of staff who have worked 10 or more years at Barnard and are celebrating five-year milestones (10, 15, 20, etc.). Each of the 62 honorees received a lapel pin featuring their milestone number, a certificate of recognition, and a gift determined by years of service.

President Sian Leah Beilock presented the newly created Barnard Excellence Award to associate director of events management Amanda Gates-Elston '04 and library specialist for access and circulation Quincy Williams, both of whom were chosen through a nomination process open to faculty and staff. The award, which comes with a monetary gift, recognizes individuals who have demonstrated the vision and values of the College in their roles.

Finally, Barnard’s Student Government Association (SGA) recognized Molree Williams-Lendor, the Title IX coordinator and executive director of equity, with the SGA Administrator of the Year Award.
