In March 2021, assistant professor of computer science Mark Santolucito published the paper "Analyzing Infrastructure as Code to Prevent Intra-update Sniping Vulnerabilities," which was accepted into the 2021 International Conference on Tools and Algorithms for the Construction and Analysis of Systems. Co-authored by Santolucito, the paper examines Infrastructure as Code (IaC), a novel approach to computing infrastructure management. The paper proposes novel algorithms to identify and protect against security vulnerabilities in cloud computing services.
