Workshop Descriptions
This workshop is an adaptation of the national Step UP! Bystander Intervention program was developed at the University of Arizona in collaboration with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
This bystander intervention program focuses on pro-social behaviors and skill development to educate participants on how to become proactive in assisting others. This interactive presentation will use clips and role-playing to engage participants. The following topics covered are sexual violence, dating violence, and discrimination.
Love, relationships, consent, and sex are taboo topics or topics that are expected to be understood automatically. Let's change that. Let's learn what a healthy relationship, affirmative consent, and sex-positivity actually are from the ground up.
