Here at Barnard we believe that each and every one of us has the ability to make a tremendous impact on our campus. Bystander Intervention is one of the tools that we can use to keep our community safer and more connected. With that in mind, Being Barnard and the Title IX office trains all of our incoming students in bystander intervention during fall and spring orientation. Our student organization leaders receive advanced training every year and workshops are available to the entire Barnard community throughout the fall and spring semester.
Below you will find a quick refresher on the steps of bystander intervention and some of the ways that one might intervene.
If you wish to schedule a bystander intervention workshop for your office, class, or student organization, please contact us at BeingBarnard@barnard.edu
